Westport Jetty

Waves, wildlife, and storm-watching at the harbor mouth

The Westport jetty reaches out along the mouth of Grays Harbor and is one of the coast's great free vantage points. In spring and fall, gray whales pass close on migration; in fall and winter, the Pacific throws dramatic surf against the rocks — bundle up for the show, then warm up over chowder in town. It's also a well-loved spot for shore fishing and watching the fleet come and go.
