Sculpture gardens, a tasting room and a museum on Highway 105
Westport Winery Garden Resort sits on Highway 105 roughly halfway between Aberdeen and Westport, and it is more of a stop than a winery. The grounds are laid out as display gardens with large outdoor sculptures set through them, most built on coastal and maritime themes, and they are free to walk. Inside there is a tasting room, a restaurant and a gift shop. The International Mermaid Museum is on the same property, which makes this the easiest two-in-one stop on the drive down from the harbor. For a wet afternoon, or simply to get out of the car halfway to the beach, it is the dependable stop on this stretch of road.
