Wide beach beneath the lighthouse

Westport Light State Park spreads along the beach beneath the Grays Harbor Lighthouse. It's an easygoing spot for a beach day — hard-packed sand, room to roam, and the paved Dune Trail running north to Westhaven State Park past dunes and beach grass. Many South Beach approaches allow driving on the firm sand (seasonal rules and clam-dig closures apply — watch the posted signs).
