This is one of many events the Westport-Grayland Chamber of Commerce brings to the harbor.
For one weekend every summer, Westport trades fishing nets for cutlasses. Pirate Daze fills the marina with the boom of black-powder cannons, a costumed buccaneer parade down the waterfront, and a treasure hunt that sends kids combing the docks for doubloons. It's the Chamber's biggest community celebration of the year, a love letter to the coast's salty history and an open invitation for visitors to spend the weekend in Westport. Local makers and food vendors line the boardwalk, and the night ends with music under the harbor lights.
