Reinstating this soulful PNW tradition after a 22-year hiatus, we at The Surf Shop are thrilled to bring back this special event that our surf community throughout Washington, Oregon, Canada and afar has been patiently waiting for. Save the date and prepare to join us as we continue to make more historic surf family memories together, whether as a participant in the contest or as a spectator just coming for a good time! Divisions will range from Kid-friendly to novice to multiple women's & men's age groups, as well as a FUN team relay paddle race! Reach the Beach Washington welcomes riders from across the PNW on September 28, 2024 to enjoy a fast and flat century ride starting in Lacey, WA and ending with a celebration on the beach in Westport, WA. Riders can choose distance options ranging from 25, 44, 77, or 100 miles. This unique and challenging ride, is the signature event of the American Lung Association and supports our mission to prevent lung disease and help the millions of people who are affected by lung disease in the U.S. Getting involved as a bike rider or as a fundraiser is a wonderful way to show your support for someone in your life who has been suffering with a lung disease or in memory of someone loss. Cook-Off Entries Needed Organizers of Grayland's Annual Cranberry Harvest Festival are looking for folks to enter their best cranberry dishes in the Cook-Off Competition. Ribbons will be awarded to the top finishers. The Grayland Community Hall is open to receive cook-off entries ONLY from 12:00 Noon - 5:00PM on Friday. Judging will take place at 5:30PM on Friday. The South Beach Community would like you to join us for the Cranberry Harvest Festival Firefly Parade. The parade is a celebration of the magnificent Cranberry. Our community has a rich heritage and strong history of growing cranberries and October is prime harvest time. Please join our celebration!

The Cranberry Harvest Festival is October li h & 13t\ 2024.The Firefly parade is October li h with staging starting at the Grayland Community Hall/Grange parking lot in Grayland with check in starting at 6:30 pm. The parade begins at 7:30pm at the hall and will continue down South on Cranberry Road, to a right onto County Line Road, then North onto Highway 105, where it will end at Grayland Beach Road.


Be Creative!!! Please decorate for these festivities with lots of lights. Passing out of candy during the parade is allowed.
Requirements this year are as follows:

+ Need one person per side of entry walking
+ Hand out candy with a light toss
+ NO TOSSING CANDY FROM FLOAT
+ No smoking tires/burn outs
+ Must be visible with lots of lights/glow sticks/ reflective gear
+ Wear seatbelt if have them


Drive slow, beware of kids, and entry in front of you keep a 10 ft distance buffer

udging for 1st place: Best of Show, Most Lights, & Best Harvest Theme. Rain or Shine the Firefly Parade will go on.
